Defining the single most important political issue of theapproaching presidential election.

Say what you like about marriage laws and protecting frogsbut until we find a solution to the economic woes, these other things are moot.

Right now we are suffering a trade deficit and what can onlybe called ‘economic constipation’. The main problem is that those on the hilldon’t seem to realize the well has run dry. To see it their way, the U.S. citizen represents a bottomless pit ofmoney and their spending habits reflect it.

Washington has caused the average citizen to support specialinterests for so long, it has finally choked off the money flow. Businesses are forced to close and jobs arelost. So far, the reaction from Washington has been to ask for more and moremoney instead of putting it back into society. Supporting something like a new museum in North Carolina, seems to benot only a waste of time but certainly tightening the strangle hold on the taxpayer.

There have even been threats to rob Social Security, asthough it is some sort of charity. It’snot a charity, it’s a program the government forced onto the citizens, in theeffort to make sure each individual retires on their own income. For that reason, it not only does not makesense to rob the program, it is not the answer to today’s financial woes.

Keep the welfare programs and dump the special interestprojects and there should be enough money to work with, without further taxingthe citizens. We should do away withevery program that does not benefit the population in general. A bridge somewhere, is not beneficial to theentire population unless we happen to all be headed that way and have need ofthat bridge.

Businesses, corporations, that supply jobs should be offeredtax incentives, not further taxing, driving them out of business. Focusing onthe trade deficit and doing everything humanly possible to balance that budget,will cure the problems with business in general, thereby providing jobs. Jobs help to make the world go around. Killing jobs, kills the economy.

To top it all off, congress passed a law giving them apercentage raise every year. Consideringthat the balance it higher every year, that percentage has already grown intoan enormous amount. That’s one law thatneeds to be altered. No citizen ispromised any such living expense raises every year, why should congress?

It may sound too simplistic to say that balancing the budgetand leveling the playing field internationally will cure most of our problemsbut the fact is it will.

It makes no sense to force citizens in one state, to supportsomething special in another state. Allthis does is raise those taxes more and more. Right now, our country suffers from a constipated condition where thesolution seems to be more chocolate. That doesn’t make sense.

All an all, our government needs to start acting like abusiness manager instead of a selfish child with no responsibility at all.

Dear Ms. Pelosi:

I write to you out of utter disdain! You are as despicable and un-American as the traitor Jane Fonda.

I am a soon to be 65 year-old who has voted in every state and local election since 1966. I have voted for both Republicans and Democrats alike. I have worked on campaigns for both Republicans and Democrats, white and black. I served the country that I love in Vietnam , as my son did in the Middle East . I was awarded two bronze stars. I have been involved in politics since age 6 when my father

was campaign manager for a truly great American Congressman, Charles Raper Jonas, who worked

for his constituents and his country, and was to be admired, unlike you.

You obviously haven’t read the Constitution recently, if ever, the Federalist Papers, or even David McCullough’s book on John Adams. You ought to take the time while riding around in your government provided luxury executive jet to do just that. You represent Socialistic and even Marxist principals that our founding fathers tried to avoid when setting out the capitalistic republican form of government represented by our Constitution.

I find it interesting that you and your husband are multi-millionaires with much of your fortune being made as a result of your “public service”. You have controlled legislation that has enhanced your husband’s investments both on and off shore. At the same time you redistributed the wealth of others. Our system of a free market economy is being destroyed by the likes of you, Harry Reid, and now

our President. You ride around in a Gulfstream airplane at the tax payer’s expense while criticizing

the presidents of companies who produced something for the economy. You add nothing to the economy of the United States ; you only subtract therefrom.

I would like to suggest that you return to the city of fruitcakes and nuts and eat your husband’s

canned tuna and pineapple produced by illegal immigrants and by workers who have been excluded from the protection that 90% of the legal workers in the United States have.

I await your defeat in the next election with glee.

Don’t ever use the term “un-American” again for protesters who love this country and are exercising their rights upon which this country was founded. By the way, while I served in the Army, I was spit

on by the same type of lunatics who support you and who you probably supported in the 60’s and

70’s. You are an embarrassment to all of us who served so that you would have the protected right of free speech to call us un-American. But at the same time, I have the right to write you to notify you

that I consider you to be un-American, as do the majority of the people of this formerly great country. You are a true disgrace to most of the people who served this country by offering themselves for

public service in the United States Congress.

I feel certain your aides will not share this letter with you, but I intend to share it with many.

Laus Deo

One detail that is never mentioned is that in Washington , D.C. there
can never be a building of greater height than the Washington Monument .

With all the uproar about removing the ten commandments, etc., this
is worth a moment or two of your time. I was not aware of this amazing
historical information.

On the aluminum cap, atop the Washington Monument in Washington ,
D.C. , are displayed two words: Laus Deo.

No one can see these words. In fact, most visitors to the monument
are totally unaware they are even there and for that matter, probably
couldn't care less.

Once you know Laus Deo's history , you will want to share this with
everyone you know. These words have been there for many years; they
are 555 feet, 5.125 inches high, perched atop the monument, facing
skyward to the Father of our nation, overlooking the 69 square miles
which comprise the District of Columbia , capital of the United States
of America .

Laus Deo! Two seemingly insignificant, unnoticed words. Out of sight
and, one might think, out of mind, but very meaningfully placed at the
highest point over what is the most powerful city in the most
successful nation in the world.

So, what do those two words, in Latin, composed of just four
syllables and only seven letters, possibly mean? Very simply, they say
"Praise be to God!"

Though construction of this giant obelisk began in 1848, when James
Polk was President of the United States , it was not until 1888 that
the monument was inaugurated and opened to the public. It took
twenty-five years to finally cap the memorial with a tribute to the
Father of our nation, Laus Deo. "Praise be to God!"

From atop this magnificent granite and marble structure, visitors may
take in the beautiful panoramic view of the city with its division into
four major segments. ; From that vantage point, one can also easily
see the original plan of the designer, Pierre Charles l'Enfant .a
perfect cross imposed upon the landscape, with the White House to the
north. The Jefferson Memorial is to the south, the Capitol to the east
and the Lincoln Memorial to the west.
A cross you ask? Why a cross? What about separation of church and
state? Yes, a cross; separation of church and state was not, is not, in
the Constitution. So, read on. How interesting and, no doubt, intended
to carry a profound meaning for those who bother to notice.

Praise be to God! Within the monument itself are 898 steps and 50
landings. As one climbs the steps and pauses at the landings the
memorial stones share a message.

On the 12th Landing is a prayer offered by the City of Baltimore;
on the 20th is a memorial presented by some Chinese Christians;
on the 24th a presentation made by Sunday School children from New York
and Philadelphia quoting Proverbs 10:7, Luke 18:16 and Proverbs 22:6.
Praise be to God!

When the cornerstone of the Washington Monument was laid on July 4th,
1848 deposited within it were many items including the Holy Bible
presented by the Bible Society. Praise be to God! Such was the
discipline, the moral direction, and the spiritual mood given by the
founder and first President of our unique democracy "One Nation, Under
God."

Well, now is your unique opportunity, so read on!

Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."

Laus Deo!

When one stops to observe the inscriptions found in public places all
over our nation's capitol, he or she will easily find the signature of
God, as it is unmistakably inscribed everywhere you look. You may
forget the width and height of "Laus Deo ", its location, or the
architects but no one who reads this will be able to forget its
meaning, or these words: "Unless the Lord builds the house its builders
labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen
stand guard in vain." (Psalm 127: 1)

It is hoped you will send this to every child you know; to every
sister, brother, father, mother or friend. They will not find offense,
because you have given them a lesson in history that they probably
never learned in school. With that, be not ashamed, or afraid, but
have pity on those who will never see this.

Being a female, it's hard for me to have to admit but when we decided to open the doors completely to women, regardless of the situation, we opened the door to destruction. Not that there's a problem with women in battle, but when we stepped through that door, every special interest came running and pushing their way into our military. Bad press, including major mockery of the plan by comedian Jon
Stewart, led to President Obama abandoning his proposal to require veterans carry private health insurance to cover the estimated $540 million annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries to military personnel received during their tours on active duty. The President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the opposition to his proposal.

"Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody
made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks.

Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute.." "I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country,

"Obama continued "I wasn't asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."

Please pass this on to every one including every vet and their families whom you know. How in the world did a person
with this mindset become our leader? I didn't vote for him !

Imagine you have a business. Then imagine hiring a new assistant mgr. His credentials look great and he comes with a boat load of referrals and recommendations from previous employers.

So you hire him. A week later, while you're out on business, this new employee pries open your desk drawer to get at the vault key.

He gets into the vault and pockets a couple thousand dollars, then trots over to your bank and, as the assistant manager, transfers the business account into his name.

He then returns and fires all you other employees and hires his friends, without your permission.

You return to find that the only thing left in your name, is the lease and the business license. Aside from that, you can't even prove this guy stole your money. Your name isn't even on the bank account.

The new employees point a finger in your face and demand that you shut up, that you're a trouble maker.

What should you do? You can't even fire the guy, because all is friends back him up.

Call the police. Now you have to prove you own the business. Produce a business license.

The police won't do anything because this guy claims he's the assistant manager and that you aren't even the manager.

Sound like a nightmare? You're living it.

If you caught this guy in the act, before he could make changes in your bank account, you'd surely have him arrested. Right? Wrong! You'd sit back, just like you are doing now, and let him tell you how much money you have, where you can go to see a doctor, what you can drive and threaten to put himself in the position of 'middle man' for all your supplies, so he can gouge the heck out of the prices.

And his friends will back him up. Just like this Obama employee. Think he's acting like an employee? Do you think he's not?

We are footing the bill. Why are we letting this guy get away with this? He won't even take the time to prove he is qualified for the job.

I was amazed at the fanfare, during his campaign. One would think the biggest and best rock star was coming to town but no.....it was a nobody who crawled out of the woodwork and suddenly was famous.

Well, now. Imagine that! I never even heard of this guy and here he was, running for president! Obama who? Sounds like something middle eastern. Strange and yet here are these teenagers all in love. As suddenly as teenagers do. But wait, it's their mother's too! Woah....

I thought I'd die on the spot when Clinton actually got in the office. A confessed con man and yet everybody seemed to just go along with this guys lies. Was I hearing right?

Now it was happening again! This just can't be true. Can people really be so gullible? Tell me it isn't true.

I had thought that today, people were more civilized, more intelligent. One would think it would be harder, today, to pull the wool over people's eyes than it was in Hitler's time. I'm still in shock to realize what kind of world I really do live in.
